- Typically constructed from a multi-ply fabric blend.
- Durability:
- Offers good resistance to UV rays, mildew, and general wear and tear.
- Considered a standard fabric option.

- Primarily used on 1988-1995 YJs and 1997-2002 Jeep Wrangler TJs.
Black Diamond:

- A deep, rich black color.
- Subtle diamond pattern texture woven into the fabric.

- A premium, multi-ply fabric often with a higher thread count than Black Denim.
- Durability:
- Superior resistance to UV rays, fading, mildew, and abrasion compared to Black Denim.
- A more durable, longer-lasting option.

In cold climates, it’s important to handle vinyl tops and windows with extra care when they are exposed. Be cautious when cleaning snow or frost from the vinyl windows, as they are easily scratched and will crack at low temperatures. DO NOT roll the sides or rear window in cold weather. Again, the windows become stiff and will crack. PLEASE NOTE: Cracks caused by misuse in cold temperatures are not covered under
warranty.
No, we no longer manufacture Hardtops and no longer sell replacement parts for them.

The OEM top for the Ford Bronco has a square design and is only removable as a whole unit. In contrast, the Bestop version features a slanted fastback design and can be broken down into parts, offering more accessible storage and versatility.
The Bestop Supertop for Truck has removable side and rear windows while the Softopper rear window rolls up, and the sides are a solid panel instead of a window. Bestop offers more replacement parts. Softopper tops are quicker to install and have silver bows whereas Bestop has black bows.
Absolutely! We highly recommend opting for either a Touchless or manual car wash to ensure the safety and maintenance of your soft top. It’s important to follow our detailed guidelines for the best results. Specifically, we advise against the use of automatic car washes that employ brushes. These types of car washes can potentially cause damage to your soft top by leaving scratches or stripping away protective coatings. To preserve the integrity and appearance of your soft top, choosing a touchless or manual car wash, where the cleaning is done with softer materials or high-pressure water jets, is the safest option. This method not only ensures a thorough cleaning but also minimizes the risk of damage.
Your Bestop product is made of the finest materials available. To keep it looking new and for the maximum possible wear, it will need
periodic cleaning and maintenance.
Fabric: The fabric should be washed often using soap, warm water, and a soft bristle brush. Rinse with clear water to remove all traces
of soap. Bestop recommends using Bestop Cleaner (part no. 11211-00) and Bestop Protectant (part no. 11212-00) for Vinyl fabric and
Bestop Twill Protectant (part no. 11217-00) for Twill fabric. Bestop Cleaner and Bestop protectant are specially formulated to provide a
total cleaning and protection system. Bestop Cleaner safely removes the toughest stains, will not harm vehicle finishes, and is biodegradable
and environmentally friendly. Bestop Protectant protects against UV-fading, cracking, and hardening, and repels dust, grease, dirt, and
mildew. We also offer a kit that includes the the top cleaner, protectant and window cleaner for VINYL TOPS ONLY (11215-00)
Windows: Keep windows clean to avoid scratching. DO NOT use a brush on the windows! Wash with a water-soaked microfiber cloth or sponge
and a mild dishwashing detergent. Bestop recommends Bestop Vinyl Window Cleaner (part no. 11213-00), which safely cleans and
protects vinyl windows and helps prevent UV damage. NEVER WIPE THE WINDOWS WHEN THEY ARE DRY. Be careful when cleaning
snow or frost from the vinyl windows since they are easily scratched and may crack at low temperatures. DO NOT roll the sides or rear
window in cold weather. The windows become stiff and will crack. Cracks caused by misuse in cold temperatures are not covered under
warranty.
Water: Seeping through at the seams may be stopped by applying 3-M Scotchgard® on the inside of the seams. Rips in the fabric may
be repaired with Bondex® iron-on patches. Iron the patches to the Inside of the top, carefully following the Bondex® instructions.
Snaps: Keep snaps cleaned and lubricated with silicone to help prevent snaps from sticking to the studs. If a snap does become stuck
to a stud, use a screwdriver and GENTLY pry apart to prevent permanent damage to the snap or the top fabric.
Zippers: Keeping zippers cleaned and lubricated with Bestop’s Zipper Cleaner (part no. 11216-00) will help prevent damage and keep the zippers in smooth working condition. If a zipper opens behind the slider, the slider may have been spread apart. This problem can usually be repaired by using an ordinary pair of pliers to bring the sides back into parallel. Return the slider to the end of the zipper in the normal open
position. Squeeze lightly at first and test the zipper. If the zipper continues to remain open squeeze more firmly with the pliers and try the zipper again. Repeat this procedure until the zipper operates correctly

Yes, tighter is better! If you are having trouble, please follow the installation instructions carefully and install in a warm environment. Over time, with the top installed and out in the elements, it will stretch and loosen some, as well.
Yes we do! To properly use the lift assist in the rear, you need to ensure that the top is open. Then, you should loosen the two screws that were inserted during installation (but don’t remove them completely). Once these screws are loosened, close the top and the latch will be complete. This will adjust the lift assists to the correct position needed for the top to close properly. Finally, you need to retighten the screws to secure everything in place.
