Warranty Information

We warrant our products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for defined periods based on product type, provided there has been normal use and proper maintenance as defined in the product instructions. If Bestop mis-packages the item, we will send you the correct part needed as soon as possible.

If you are looking to request a return due to an incorrect part in the package, we will, instead, consider it a warranty issue and follow the warranty policy below accordingly. To see our Return Policy, click HERE.

BESTOP® LIMITED 5-YEAR WARRANTY:

– Premium Twill fabric material (excluding hardware)
– Tonneau Covers

BESTOP® LIMITED 3-YEAR WARRANTY:

– Non-twill fabrics including Black Diamond, Denim, and Sailcloth (excluding hardware)
– Trekstep

BESTOP® LIMITED 1-YEAR WARRANTY:

– Pavement Ends Soft Tops
– Retractable Sunshade and SunScreen
– Seats
– All other Bestop® products and accessories

Due to atmospheric conditions, dirt, sand, road grime, dust, and abrasive cleaners, our VINYL WINDOWS, SOFT TOP HARDWARE, and ZIPPERS are warranted for 1 year from the date of purchase.

EXCLUSIONS

Bestop DOES NOT warrant products under the following conditions:

  • Misuse, abuse, accidents, vandalism, negligence, fire, improper installation, modification,
    or improper/inadequate maintenance. (Ex. Using home cleaning products, off-roading, car wash, or garaging damage)
  • Non-compliance with product documentation, instructions, or applicable law or regulations; use in extreme conditions. (Ex. Attempting to install something different than the instructions entail)
  • Force Majeure including but not limited to, earthquake, hurricane, tornado, flooding, or other
    disasters natural or man-made, civil unrest, strikes, declared or undeclared war, or lack of
    performance by, or discontinued product of, supply chain partners whose products, software,
    operations or management is beyond the control of Bestop. (Ex. Anything full coverage vehicle insurance would cover is excluded from this warranty)
  • Damage resulting in breakage (including without limitation, spontaneous breakage, accidental break, or break by any other means) of a product or any part. (Ex. Pulling into a garage with the soft top open, an object impacting the product)
  • Damage to vinyl windows due to misuse, or cracking due to varying weather conditions. (Ex. Cold cracks due to fluctuations in temperatures under 70 degrees, folding windows causing crack lines, foggy/unclear windows)
  • If the return is due to an incorrect part in the package, we will consider it a warranty issue and follow the return policy accordingly.
  • Any damage caused by the use of aftermarket products or materials alongside our products. If such third-party items lead to damage, repair or replacement of our product will not be covered.

Bestop Inc. provides a warranty for its products as outlined in our warranty policy. However, please be aware that Bestop Inc. is not responsible for any import fees, taxes, or customs duties imposed by foreign governments on products covered by our warranty. Any such charges are the sole responsibility of the customer. It is the customer’s obligation to cover all relevant costs associated with the importation of warranty-covered products into their country.

Bestop products are designed for self-installation, and therefore, we cannot pay for labor charges associated with the removal or re-installation of an item. If damage was caused during a professional installation, the installer is responsible for replacement or repair.

 

The warranty applies to the ORIGINAL PURCHASER listed on the proof of purchase and is not transferable or assignable, including the product included with a vehicle purchase. The warranty does not apply to any product bought from auction-style or price-bid websites, even when advertised as new or unopened (e.g. eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist). Closeout and open-box purchases from third-party purchasers are also excluded from the warranty.

Any shipping damage, missing parts, or other order issues must be reported with proof of purchase images of the issue, or other supporting documentation within 30 DAYS of delivery.

WARRANTY SUPPORT

During the warranty period, Bestop will repair or replace products that are verified as non-compliant with quality standards and measurements. Our team may ask for specific measurements to bring to our Quality Team for comparison. Items fitting incorrectly due to an installation discrepancy will be navigated with our Customer Service team for improvement. The specific part that is misfitting or defective is what will be replaced.

If Bestop is to repair or replace your product, reasonable efforts will be made to match the color and texture of your existing product but is unable to guarantee a perfect match. If Bestop is not able to match the color or texture, we will do our best to match it as closely as possible. In the case of a replacement, Bestop may want the defective product returned for investigation or request that the item be field destroyed.

HOW TO GET SUPPORT

To begin a warranty request, please fill out the form below. Once submitted, you will be automatically emailed a CASE number to confirm it has been received.  Please reply to that confirmation email to submit your proof of purchase, current shipping address, and a description of your issue along with images. We will respond within 48 business hours. All claims must be within 30 days of the defectPlease note that warranties will not be approved until we have all the information needed above.

LEGAL

THE LIMITED WARRANTY AND STATED REMEDIES ARE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE AND, IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, REMEDIES, AND THE COMPANY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED OR STATUTORY OR OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN NO EVENT WILL THE COMPANY BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, INDIRECT, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR REVENUE, HOWEVER CAUSED, WHETHER FOR BREACH OR REPUDIATION OF CONTRACT, TORT, BREACH OF WARRANTY, NEGLIGENCE, OR OTHERWISE, WHETHER OR NOT THE COMPANY WAS ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH LOSS OR DAMAGES. Some states do not allow exclusion or limitation, so this may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.

THIS SETS FORTH BESTOP’S SOLE OBLIGATION AND YOUR SOLE REMEDY CONCERNING ANY DEFECTS OR OTHER PRODUCT ISSUES. ANY PRODUCTS REPLACED UNDER THE TERMS OF THIS WARRANTY WILL BE COVERED UNDER THE TERMS AND BALANCE OF THE DURATION OF THE ORIGINAL LIMITED WARRANTY FOR SUCH PRODUCTS.
